Dr. Robertson’s Successful Treatment Recommendations

  • Most importantly, use a pillbox to insure compliance with medication dosing.
  • Bring a support person with you to appointments and have them call us if they are concerned. We will keep your information confidential but they may leave us a voicemail regarding the concern.
  • For non urgent matters, call during regular business hours and leave a voicemail on the nurse message center. Non urgent calls received before 11:00 a.m. will be returned the same day.
  • For urgent calls, please call anytime 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to leave a message. Emergency calls will be returned promptly.
  • Call before making any medication changes on your own that have not been recommended by us. Call if you are having any significant adverse effects with the medication.
  • Bring a list of all medications to each visit including prescriptions from other doctors.
  • Report honestly your use of addictive substances.
  • Let us know if you are having financial problems that are affecting your ability to afford treatment so we can help you find a solution.
  • Be patient with your treatment. Medications may take several weeks to provide benefit.
  • Good nutrition and exercise are important. If you take any vitamins, supplements, or herbal remedies, please bring them for Dr. Robertson to review.
  • Counseling or psychotherapy is often critically important. Bring your list of preferred providers that are conveniently located near you, so we can help you choose the best therapist.
